hi, i’m lissa!

I’m Lissa (she/they), a queer, disabled, Guyanese-American documentary filmmaker, cultural worker and artist from unceded Ponca and Omaha land known as Omaha, NE.

I’m intensely passionate about storytelling in all it’s forms, to uplift the voices of those who are most often silenced. My roots in documentary, combined with my artistic skill and ability to think both logically and creatively, I’ve been called a “unicorn” who delivers high-quality work across various field including the environment, documentary, radio/podcast, influencer content creation, mental health and disability advocacy, and more.
